My role is to assist in the refinement of a national map of drinking water system service area boundaries to make sure that communities are accurately represented in local, state and national drinking water service area maps. The project is twofold; the first is to lead outreach efforts to water systems across Oregon to request updated drinking water service area boundaries to update the national map. The second is to conduct outreach to underserved communities and in priority regions: federally and non federally recognized tribes, service areas serving high proportion of Native American, People of Color and lower income communities to confirm water service area boundaries and improve quality of raw data for estimating service area boundaries.

As an outreach coordinator for Casa y Comunidad, a documentary series focused on housing access challenges for Latine essential workers in Oregon, I cataloged and archived over 600 photos, 9 video files, 9 transcripts and translated documents. Collaborating closely with University librarians, I made sure metadata followed the Oregon Digital standards. I also created a comprehensive digital collection data management plan. Lastly, I developed a targeted outreach and marketing plan for the documentary’s release, targeting 9th-12th grade educators, administrators, housing policymakers, nonprofits, public libraries, and the wider Oregon community.
